Frances Stowe Coop, age 91, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her residence in Newcastle, Texas.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Newcastle Cemetery, with Scotte Clark officiating. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Frances was born October 22, 1920, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to the late Joe and Minnie May Hyden Stowe. She and Darwin Snook Coop were married May 5, 1938 in Walters, Oklahoma. Frances was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of the Newcastle area. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Frances was preceded in death by two brothers: Roy and Lawrence Stowe two sisters: Mary Grider and Melba Bevill and a daughter, Sue Jo Coop in1959.

She is survived by a son Jimmy Coop and wife Lisa of Graham, Texas a daughter Kay Creel and husband Terry of Newcastle, Texas a sister Faye Lowe of Aledo, Texas four grandchildren: Jeff Creel, J.P. Coop and wife Nikki, Casey Coop, and Cody Coop.
