Neta Gale (Wages) Arispe, age 80, died Friday, May 24, 2024, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas. Interment will follow at Elbert Cemetery in Elbert, Texas, with Scotte Clark officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Gale was born on August 12, 1943, in Olney, Texas to the late Lester Linn and Juanita C. (Clark) Wages. She married David Arispe on April 21, 1989, in Graham, Texas. David passed away on January 25, 2000. Gale worked at 7 Oaks Nursing Home for twenty-plus years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved keeping company with her grandchildren. Dancing was one of Gale's favorite hobbies. Gale was a strong woman and took special care in looking after her family. She was a great cook and was known in the family for her holiday fudge.

Gale is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Barry and Mechele (Kuyava)  Goldsmith of Burkburnett, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa and Joe Kaneakua of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Vickie and Charley Brantley of Olney, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; Amanda, Brittany, Justin, Kristy, Ashley, Austin, Sarah, Tianna, Kayla, Johanna, Kawika, Megan, and Kevin; four step-sons: Tony Arispe, Tommy Arispe, Gilbert Arispe, and Albert Arispe; one step-daughter: Irma Glidewell; one brother: Dale Wages of Archer City, Texas; and one nephew and three nieces.

Gale was also preceded in death by two brothers: Harold Wages, and Ray Wages; and one sister-in-law: Jan Wages.

Gale's family prefers casual dress for her service.
