Garry Kent Whiteley, age 63, of Newcastle, died Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in Graham. A graveside inurnment service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Indian Mound Cemetery with Jessie Edwards, pastor of First Baptist Church in Newcastle, officiating.

Kent was born on September 8, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to the late Paul Biffell Whiteley and Betty (Dollins) Whiteley. Kent was a longtime resident of Newcastle and was loved by many. He graduated from Newcastle High School and was employed by the City of Newcastle for 26 years. He loved helping people and helped anyone who needed it. Kent loved motorcycles and he rode one everyday. He was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Keith Whiteley, his father, Paul Biffell Whiteley, and his mother, Betty Lois (Dollins) Whiteley.

Survivors include one brother, Kenneth Mark Whiteley and wife Stacy of Graham, one nephew, Tanner Mark Whiteley of Graham, and many friends and relatives.
