Gary Wilburn Roberts, age 66, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Olney Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. A graveside committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Quanah Memorial Park in Quanah, Texas. Pastor Sean Reeves of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney will officiate.

Gary was born June 12, 1954 in Quanah, Texas to the late Wilburn Albert Roberts and Helen Lorene (Mullins) Roberts. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1973.
Early on, Gary worked in Vernon with mentally and physically challenged children and young adults, and later for Texas Cleaners in Olney where he was a hub of information for his customers. Gary was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. He loved estate sales, Bassett hounds, cars of all kinds, especially Lincolns, and he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his partner of over 40 years, Ken Kunkel.

Gary will be missed by his three fur babies, Mia, Daisy and Angel, and numerous friends who loved him.
