Gladys Clark, age 81 died July 16, 2012 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Southside Baptist Church with Andy Graham officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Gladys was born on February 2, 1931 to the late James S. and Alberta L. Black in Strong City, Oklahoma. She and Kenneth E. Clark were married May 17, 1950 in Portales, New Mexico. Gladys had been a secretary for Amarillo Mop and Broom in Amarillo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on February 20, 2009 her son Alvin Clark brothers: George and Hobert Story a sister Della May Stephens granddaughters: Jennifer and Kendra Clark and grandson George Williamson.
Survivors include her daughters: Sandra Matthews and husband Doyle of Park Hill, Oklahoma, Carol Henderson and husband Mike of Dumas, Texas, Cheryle Jenkins and husband Mike of Fritch, Texas brothers: James Story and wife Earlene of Olney, Texas, Donald Story of Newcastle, Texas, Arnold Story of Olney, Texas, Harold Story and wife Sue of Mansfield, Texas sisters: Faye White of Olney, Texas, and Joyce Story of Tyler, Texas daughterinlaw Sharon Clark of Amarillo, Texas twelve grandchildren: Donna Lamb, Joe Jenkins, Chris Henderson, Michael Williamson, Chris Patrick, Jason Clark, Kenny Matthews, T.J. Clark, Stephanie Henderson, Kelly Kuhns, Angela Matthews, and Daniel Henderson seventeen great grandchildren also one greatgreat grandchild.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 57 pm at the funeral home.
