Gladys Wright, 84, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., at Southside Baptist Church in Olney with Andy Graham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Elbert Cemetery in Elbert, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Gladys was born on October 2, 1929, in DeLeon, Texas, to the late John Thomas and Winnie Maude (Lee) Dupriest. She married Lowell Wright on July 29, 1947, in the First Baptist Church of DeLeon, Texas. She was a loving, caring wife, serving faithfully beside her husband as he pastored Southern Baptist Churches. In Lowell's later years as Director of Missions for the North American Mission Board, Gladys was unable to serve alongside her husband, yet she continued to be a faithful supporter of his mission work. Gladys was currently a member of Southside Baptist Church in Olney. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Glen Dupriest and Claude Dupriest; and one sister, Fannie Mae Scott.

Gladys is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Lowell Wright of Olney; one son, John Wright and wife Madeline of Beaumont, Texas; two daughters: Charlotte Segars and husband Richard of Graham, Texas, and Becky Priddy and husband John of Priddy, Texas; one brother, Alford Dupriest of Stephenville, Texas; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home.
