Glenna Marie Cherry, age 75, died Friday, October 7, 2011, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011, at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Andy Graham of Southside Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Archer City Cemetery in Archer City, Texas. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney

Glenna was born July 27, 1936 in Clay county to the late George and Mattie McGowen Campbell. She married Harvey Light on August 10, 1952 in Sherman, Texas. Glenna met and married her second husband, Charles Cherry on January 16, 1976 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They lived in Cibolo, Texas for twenty years. He died on October 19, 2003. She moved to Olney in 2004. Glenna had been a secretary for the Boys Home of San Antonio for seventeen years. She attended Southside Baptist Church of Olney. Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Mildred Mathis in 1993.
Survivors include son, Preston Light of Olney, Texas two daughters: Paula Kuhn and husband Stephen of Burleson, Texas, Diann Bernhardt and husband Steve of Iowa Park, Texas a sister, Phyllis Whitsitt and husband DeWayne of Olney, Texas seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 45 pm at the funeral home.
