Gloria was born on August 13, 1985, in Archer City, Texas to Mary Lou Gallardo and Ernesto Cardona Sr. She was praising the Lord all the way home on the streets of Gold on August 11, 2021.

Gloria was known for her contagious smile, strong will, uplifting spirits, passionate heart, and unforgettable laugh. The little things made her happy; walks on the beach, traveling new places, and spending quality family time. She grew up in Olney, Texas where she played the drums in the Christian group, Los Privilegiados, which included her dad, sister, and brother.  She graduated from Olney High School in Class of 2004 with some unforgettable friendships. Gloria's faith in God brought her soulmate Pastor Daniel Chapa to make her life whole with happiness and love. They exchanged vows of love on May 21, 2019. As the years went by, her passion for ministry in music continued to flourish by singing and practicing guitar. She accompanied her husband in song and worship within the church. Gloria was a one of a kind person who walked in faith and not by sight. She showed others what a mighty God we served and her dedication to her ministry. She has always been a devoted volunteer in the churches needs. She was a member of the New Manna International Ministries in Tascapoula, Mississippi and a member of the Primera Assemblea de Dios in Mineola, Texas.  Gloria Eleanor Cardona leaves behind her love, memories, and the map to glory for the rest of her family to follow.

Gloria was preceded in death by her grandparents, Adela and Alejandro Gallardo and Ignacia and Nicolas Cardona, and by her mother, Mary Lou Cardona.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Pastor Daniel Chapa; her father, Ernesto Cardona, Sr. and wife Melinda; her oldest sister, Ann Elizabeth Ortega and husband CSM Ismael Ortega; her older brother, Ernesto Cardona, Jr. and wife Marissa Cardona; step children, Daniel Chapa Jr. and wife Lupe Chapa, Paul Chapa and wife Dolores Chapa, Jeremy Joe Chapa and wife Diana Chapa; nieces and nephew, Angel Marie Cardona, Ernesto Cardona III, Abigail Rouge Cardona; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas with Pastora Norma Guerra, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
