Harry Ballowe, Jr., CSM, U. S. Army (Ret.), age 79, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Restland Cemetery in Olney with Barry Roberts, officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Young County American Volunteer Reserves. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Harry was born on January 8, 1937 in Archer City, Texas to the late Harry Nolan Ballowe, Sr. and Mildred Deedie (Gray) Ballowe. He served in the United States Marine Corps and Army and served during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He retired from military service in 1986 as Command Sergeant Major and moved to Olney. He then worked as a dispatcher for the Olney Police Department until his retirement. He married Judy Huffman on March 7, 1961 in Archer City. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2015.

Harry is survived by his daughter, Dorraine Renee Slaughter of Horsham, Pennsylvania and one granddaughter, Ida Rose Slaughter of Horsham, Pennsylvania.
