Helen Mixon Koonce Molano, age 81, died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her home in Snyder, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas, with Ted Murphree, officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home immediately prior to the graveside service. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Helen was born on May 5, 1939 in Woodson, Texas to the late J. R. Mixon and Velma Lois (Walker) Mixon. She moved to Snyder in 1967 from Graham and was a secretary for Snyder Well Service until her retirement. Helen loved bowling and was a member of both the Graham and Snyder bowling leagues. She also loved shopping on the TV shopping channels and looked for those "Blue Light Specials". She was a member of the Neighborhood Watchdog group in Snyder. She married Tommy Koonce on July 17, 1957 in Holiday, Texas. She later married Rick Molano, Jr. on October 25, 1980. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2017. She was also preceded in death by an infant son and two brothers, Donald James Mixon and Charles Eugene Mixon.

Helen is survived by one son, David Koonce and wife Donna of Snyder, Texas; one daughter, LaRhonda Moore and husband Charley of Rising Star, Texas; three grandchildren, A'Lex Koonce-Lutz and husband Trever of Snyder, Texas, Kara Smith and husband Nathan of May, Texas and Tana Isbell and husband Ben of Windsor, Colorado; and five great grandchildren, Kelton Smith, McKenna Smith, Sawyer Smith, Carson Isbell and Hudson Isbell.
