Herbert K. Knobloch, age 88, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Scotte Clark, of Olney, officiating. Interment will follow at the Megargel Cemetery in Megargel, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Herbert was born on January 25, 1926 in Young County, Texas to the late Frederick Carl and Dorothea Elizabeth (Kunkel) Knobloch. He moved to Olney in 1994 from Ft. Worth, Texas. He had been employed as an auto mechanic and heavy equipment operator and retired from the City of Ft. Worth. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Agatha Louise Knobloch and Norma Katherine Branham, and one brother, Paul Herman Knobloch.

Herbert is survived by his two brothers: Frederick Knobloch and wife Mildred of Olney, Texas and Albert Knobloch and wife Renate of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters: Lorna Elizabeth Arnold of Austin, Texas and Ann Simmons and husband Pete of Ft. Worth, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
