Isabel Acuna, age 79, of Olney, Texas, died Thursday, January 27, 2022. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Isabel was born April 23, 1942, in Alice, Texas to the late Eugene and Juanita (Bueno) Valdez. She moved to Olney in 1976 from Alice. She loved to cook and work in her garden and loved just being outside. Isabel was a kindhearted person and loved everybody, and she truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She always said she was a celebrity.

Isabel was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Santiago Valdez, Elias Valdez, and Eugene Valdez, Jr.; one sister, Odilia Valdez; one nephew, Michael Valdez; one daughter, Barbara Garza; one grandson, Shawn Garza; and one great-granddaughter, Paisley Jade Ford.

Isabel is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Mary Garza of Wichita Falls, Texas; four daughters: Cynthia Hinojosa of Olney, Texas, Irene Green and Frank Vick of Graham, Texas, Lisa Acuna of Olney, Texas and Michelle Garza and John Gonzalez of Graham, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Mike Valdez and wife Gloria of Alice, Texas; three sisters, Sylvia Solis of Alice, Texas, Orlie Lopez and husband Mario of Corpus Christi, Texas and Connie Valdez of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
