Ish Dunn, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Andy Graham, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney, Texas.

Ish was born on May 13, 1926 in Archer County, Texas, to the late Homer Rufus Dunn and Ava Ida (Peters) Dunn. After high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably for two years during World War II. Ish and Jackie Hammond were married on April 19, 1948 in Olney. He worked for Texaco for thirty-five years and was also a farmer. Ish loved to go fishing and loved gardening. He moved to Olney in 1960 from Odessa and was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church in Olney.

Ish is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Jackie Dunn of Olney; one son, Stanley Ish Dunn and wife Sveta of Dallas; one grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
