Iva L. Symank, age 86, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, of Olney, officiating. Interment will follow in the Megargel Cemetery in Megargel, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Iva was born August 31, 1927 in Vernon, Texas to the late Emmit C. and Bessie Inez (Jones) Morgan. She moved to Megargel in 1951 from Round Timbers, and married Erwin Symank on December 1, 1951. Iva was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney as well as the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, enjoying every minute of being a homemaker and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Erwin in 1992; one sister, Barbara Morgan; and three brothers: Dewey Morgan, Pecos Morgan, and Finis Morgan.

Iva is survived by her two sons: Stephen Symank and wife Linda of Olney and Terry Symank and wife Debbie of Lake Arrowhead; one daughter, Becky Donnell and husband Charles of Wichita Falls; four sisters: Dorothy Howe of Round Timbers, Virginia Wall of Seymour, Ara Parker and husband Charles of Olney, and Carolyn Hudson and husband Glenn of Olney; five grandchildren: Matthew Symank and wife Jennifer of Olney, Nathan Symank and wife Amber of Duncan, Oklahoma, Eric Symank and wife Jamie of Lubbock, Texas, Chris Symank and wife Rashell of Brownfield, Texas, and Abby Donnell of College Station, Texas; and six great-grandchildren.

Family visitation will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home.
