Jackie Hobbs, age 79, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton St. Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Jackie was born September 1, 1934 in Newcastle, Texas to the late Jess Allison and Bertie (Gray) Hobbs. He and Patricia Downing were married on March 6, 1970 in Archer City, Texas, and they made Olney their home for the past forty-three years. Jackie was a plumber in Olney and the surrounding communities for over fifty years, and could be called on any time for an emergency. He was a member of the Church of God of Graham, Texas. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Darrell Glenn Hobbs and Jackie Dwayne Hobbs, and several brothers and sisters.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Patricia Hobbs of Olney; daughter, Audrey Robertson and husband Jimmy of Wallace, South Carolina; grandson, Danny Willingham of Olney, Texas; sister-in-law, Glenda Smith of Olney, Texas; brother, Robert Hobbs and wife Lou Ann of Portales, New Mexico; step-sons, Robert Willingham and Joe Pat Willingham both of Olney; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Wednesday, November 27, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home.
