Jackie Carl Kellar, age 68, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Jackie was born on November 9, 1955, in Lockney, Texas to the late William Oliver and Ella Mae (Barker) Kellar. He moved to Megargel, Texas, from Coos Bay, Oregon in 2019. He worked for several years in the saw mill in Oregon. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman while he lived in Oregon. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. If Jackie was watching TV, it was usually on a Western show, and no one had better get in between him and the TV.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, William Oliver and Ella Mae (Barker) Kellar; two sons, Willie Kellar and Dale Kellar; two daughters, Lajuana Gayle Kellar and Tabitha Oliver; two brothers, Robert Kellar and Gary Kellar; three sisters: Rita Davis, Wanda Johnson, and Nelva Fenley; three nephews: Benji Kellar, Carl Davis, and Johnny Lee Fenley; and one niece: Cecilia Davis.
Survivors include his two daughters, Talisha Jones and Daujana Johnson of Olney, Texas; one sister, Donella McDougal of Megargel, Texas; one brother, Jerry Kellar of Coos Bay, Oregon; four grandchildren: Jay Jones and Reed Jones of Olney, Texas, and William Dean Johnson and Whitney Nicole Johnson of Megargel, Texas; one great-grandson: Niko Jones of Olney, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
