Jackie Stennett Morgan, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 at her home in Lewisville, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Virgil Farr, Minister of the Grace Fellowship Church in McKinney, Texas officiating. Jackies burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
She was born Jackie Fern Stennett on April 15, 1932 in Round Timbers, Texas to the late Jack and Veda Aytes Stennett. She and Bill Morgan were married on August 26, 1950 in Olney, Texas. Two children were born to them: Jerry Wayne Morgan in 1951 and Freida Mae Morgan in 1953. Jackie enjoyed being a homemaker and loved sewing, cooking, crafts, and gardening. She was a Cub Scout and Blue Bird leader when her children were young. Jackie had worked for Haggar Slacks when she lived in Olney. Jackies family moved to Lewisville, Texas in 1969 where she had worked at the Doctors Clinic and Radio Shack. She was a member of the Garden Ridge Church of Christ in Lewisville. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Veda Stennett her husband of almost sixty years, Billy Wayne Morgan two grandsons: Kevin Wayne Rogers, and Billy Jack Rogers two brothers: Arthur Lee Stennett and James Dewey Stennett.
Jackie is survived by her son, Jerry Wayne Morgan and wife Leslie of Richardson, Texas her daughter, Freida Morgan Bosau and husband Ron of Lewisville, Texas grandson, Thomas Rogers also of Lewisville two sisters: Naomi Elliott and husband Leon of Paris, Texas, and Gwen Crosthwait of Olney, Texas her brother, Bud Stennett and wife Vanice of Olney her sisterinlaw, Glenna Stennett also of Olney her brotherinlaw and sisterinlaw Frank and Faye Morgan of Graham, Texas her lifelong friends and family: Virgil, Hilda, Kent, and Brent Farr and family. Jackie also leaves behind her ten pound Chihuahua, Petie who needed her as much as she needed him.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 57 pm at the funeral home.
