James L. Beasley, age 88, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Benbrook, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Southside Baptist Church of Olney, with Andy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

James was born on February 2, 1924 in Throckmorton, Texas to the late Wiley L. and Jewel Cleveland Sharp Beasley. He and Lena Mae York were married September 14, 1943 in Throckmorton, Texas. They lived in Olney for over sixty years. James worked in the oilfield. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge 790 of Olney. He is preceded in death by one grandson, Byron Beasley one sister, Opal Blair and two brothers, Cecil Beasley, and Billy Beasley.

James is survived by his wife Lena Mae Beasley of Benbrook, Texas one son, Jimmy Don Beasley of Hillsboro, Texas one daughter, Jackie Lynn Young of Benbrook, Texas three sisters, Bessie Montgomery of Ft. Worth, Texas, Christel Presley of Lake Worth, Texas, and Barbara Sue Johnson of Azel, Texas and by four grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren.
