James Earl Collins, Sr., age 65, died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his home in Westover. Graveside inurnment services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Westover Cemetery.

James was born March 30, 1950 in Panola County, Texas to the late Earvin Collins and Mattie B. (Johnson) Collins. He was a carpenter by trade. He moved to Westover in 2005 from Rockwall, Texas. James was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings: Eva Nabors, Betty Collins, Gracie Degrate, Hazel Degrate and Harley Jr. Collins.

He is survived by two children: James Earl Collins, Jr. of Graham, Texas and Reba Erika of Olney, Texas; four sisters: Joyce Hall of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ruby Davis of Altadena, California, Juanita Cooper of Lancaster, California, Jeannie Collins of Snyder, Texas; one brother, Joe Collins of Garland, Texas; and two grandchildren.
