Jim Martin, age 87, passed away January 1, 2013 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday Janurary 4, 2013, at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Dan Hooper officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.



Jim was born on January 27, 1925 in Trinidad, Colorado to the late Nick and Minnie Martin. He married Evelyn Rose Robbins on June 15, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico. Married for fortythree years, she preceded him in death on May 21, 1994. Jim was a farmer and rancher, and worked for the Brazos Telephone Cooperative in Olney until retirement. He was a member of the IFFLodgeOddfellows. He served his country in the Army during World War II. James was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.



Jim is survived by his daughter, Linda Martin and Mark McCauley of Hurst, Texas a sister Dorothy Baca of Trinidad, Colorado his inlaws Mary and Cliff Clark of Olney, Texas a niece Vicki Clark a nephew Gary Clark his longtime companion Margot Bernhardt of Wichita Falls, Texas and extended family members Pete and Ramona Seitz, Mike and Marcia Bernhardt, Mona and Rick Crider, and their children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.



Visitation will be on Thursday, January 3, 2013, from 6:007:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
