Jay Orville Miller, age 74, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Grace Care Center in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Brian Saunders, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney, Texas.

Jay was born on July 19, 1941 in Olney, Texas, to the late Ray Orville Miller and Thelma May (Lee) Miller. He was an oilfield consultant and former owner of JACO Drilling. He was also former owner of Miller's Taxi in Woodward, Oklahoma. Mr. Miller was a widower. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandson, Landon Taylor.

Survivors include two sons: Jay Miller Jr. of Houston, Texas and Vincent Miller of Laverne, Oklahoma; four daughters: Carrie Shafer of Woodward, Oklahoma, Cynthia K. Miller of Breckenridge, Texas, Tammy Rogers of Ft. Worth, Texas and Tina Sparks of Perryton, Texas; one brother, Charlie R. Miller of Olney, Texas; five sisters: Dorthy Tubbs of New Deal, Texas, Margie Bullock of Grandview, Texas, Lois Farquer of Olney, Texas, Glenda Hudson of Brisco, Texas and Mary Watson of Olney, Texas; ten grandchildren, and former wife and good friend, Jonnie Miller.
