Jessie Dale (J.D.) Carr, age 67, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney. Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

J.D. was born January 31, 1950 in Olney, Texas to the late Darwin McCager Carr and Lois (Brooks) Carr. He was a resident of Alice, Texas where he competitively played tennis and he graduated high school, then became a lifetime resident of Olney. He had worked for Loy Mitchell's service station and was a clerk at Taylor's in Olney. J.D. liked to work on cars and loved to watch TV and listen to music. J.D. was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Carr.

He is survived by four children: Jess Carr of Galena, Missouri, Christine Blackburn of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ramona Routon of Olney, Texas, Bobbye Sue Withers of Florida; former wife and mother of his children, Mary Lou Corley Carr of Olney, Texas; two sisters: Nancy Kee of Olney, Texas, Alice Carr of Killeen, Texas; three brothers: Bill Carr of Texas, Steve Carr of Corpus Christi, Texas, Roger Carr of South Carolina; uncle and aunt, Pat and Judy Carr of Olney, Texas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
