Jessie Yzaguirre, Sr. age 83, died Sunday October 2, 2011 at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Olney, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with Kelly Russell of the First Baptist Church of Olney officiating.

Jessie was born on May 29, 1928 to the late Juan and Fermana Garcia Yzaguirre. He and Ersilia Casarez were married in Beeville, Texas on May 6, 1949. They moved from Beeville to Olney in 1963. Jessie worked with Haggar Manufacturing for ten years, Electric Hose for several years, and finally retired from landscaping after twenty years. He was a Catholic. Jessie was preceded in death by his son Jessie Yzaguirre, Jr. in October 2010, and two brothers: Chevel Yzaguirre in December 2000, and Ralph Yzaguirre in 1997.

Survivors include his wife Ersilia Yzaguirre of Olney, Texas two sons: Johnny Yzaguirre and wife Corky Jean of Point Blank, Texas, Phillip Yzaguirre and wife Lorna of Pasadena, Texas two daughters: Carmela Sallee of Lafayette, Tennessee, Mary Ann Herebia and husband Ricky of Olney, Texas a sister, Mary Castro of Olney, Texas ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Rosary and visitation will be from 6 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the funeral home.
