Joe Esparza, age 79, died Monday, August 24, 2020 in Seymour, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Gallardo, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Joe was born on April 27, 1941 in Ballinger, Texas to the late Victor "Vito" Esparza and Vivian Esparza. He was a long-time resident of Olney having moved here when he was a little child. Joe loved to play dominoes and do word puzzles. He had worked for the City of Olney, Tower Extrusions and Taby County/Key Bee Enterprises. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Manuela Portillo and Rita Guerra, and a grandchild.

Joe is survived by his children, Rachel Ogle and Jason Esparza both of Olney; two brothers, Henry Esparza and Johnny Esparza both of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Rosa Ramirez of Olney, Basilia Castro of Graham and Anita Camacho of Abilene; one step-sister, Elanora Perez of Olney; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
