John Thomas Calvin, age 72, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Wichita Falls. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

John Thomas was born on June 29, 1941 in Olney, Texas to the late Olin Earl and Edith Mary (Walker) Calvin. He had worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. He was a longtime resident of Olney and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olney. He and Mary Jane Bailey were married on December 16, 2000 in Wichita Falls, and they made Olney their home. John Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.

John Thomas is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Calvin of Olney, Texas; two sons: Darrell Calvin and Christopher Bailey, both of Arkansas City, Kansas; three daughters: Sue Ann Parsons of Palo Pinto, Texas, Leona Monismith of Arkansas City, Kansas, and Felicia Renee Castor of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Charles Walker Calvin, Sr. of Olney, Texas; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nephew, Chuck Calvin of Olney, Texas; niece, Kayse Champion of Megargel, Texas, and niece Rhonda Fowler of Coos Bay, Oregon.
