John Keyes, age 84, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019, in Abilene, Texas. Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019, at Wesley Court in Abilene, with Sterling Lentz, minister of First Christian Church in Brownwood, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

John was born on December 22, 1934 in Archer City, Texas to the late John Keyes, Sr. and Jewel Shelton (Eubank) Keyes. He received his Bachelor Degree in Business at TCU in Fort Worth, and soon began his lifelong career in Banking. John was a member of the First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriners, and the Kiwanis Club. He married Shirley Brown on December 22, 1968 in Azle, Texas.

John is survived by his wife, Shirley Keyes of Abilene, Texas; son, John Shelton Keyes of Lubbock, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Melony Kempf and husband John of Lago Vista, Texas; and granddaughter, Mallory Kempf of Hutto, Texas.
