John Charles Thompson, age 71, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 am
Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Restland Cemetery with Chad Edgington, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

John Charles was born on December 29, 1945 in Olney, Texas to the late John Columbus Thompson and Fannie Ellen (Scales) Thompson. He was a graduate of Olney High School class of 1964, and was an assembly worker for United Electric until his retirement. He had lived in Wichita Falls since 1975. John was presented with a certificate of recognition by the president of Carrier, Geraud Darin, on June 20, 2008, in appreciation for 20 years of dedicated service.

John Charles is survived by his two brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Nancy Thompson of Dallas, Texas, Brian and Carol Thompson of Montgomery, Texas; one sister, Diana Sheets of Coppell, Texas; three nieces: Brittany Spencer and husband Lowell of Frisco, Texas, Andy Sheets of Coppell, Texas, Paula Kent and husband John of Leonard, Texas; four nephews: Sam Sheets of Eagle Mountain Lake, Texas, Brian Patrick Thompson of Montgomery, Texas, Kyle Thompson of Austin, Texas, John Gillaspy of Questa, New Mexico; eight great-nieces and great-nephews: Emily, Ben, Brooke, Blake, Mason, Katey, Keegan, and Payton. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members.
