Joy Kirkland Camp, age 81, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Grace Care Center in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church with Scotte Clark, officiating, assisted by Harrell Braddock, Jr., pastor. A private family burial will be in the Newcastle Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Joy was born on December 18, 1932 in Newcastle, Texas to the late Archie and Lizzie (Sloan) Kirkland. She graduated from Newcastle High School in 1951. She and Bobby Lee Camp were married on August 14, 1951 in Atlanta, Georgia. They moved to Olney in 1955 from Lawton, Oklahoma. She had worked as a bookkeeper for thirty-five years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby on April 12, 2011, her son Brian Camp in 1995, and her sister, Joyce Maye Kirkland.

Joy survived by her two sons: Mitch Camp and wife Belinda of Olney, Texas and Mark Camp and wife Nancy of Iowa Park, Texas; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
