Juan Perez, age 84, died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at San Angelo Nursing and Rehab. Public visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Rosary will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Father Eugene Nyong officiating. Private family burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Juan was born March 30, 1936 in Alice, Texas to the late Erineo and Margarita Salinas Perez. He moved to Olney from Alice in 1960 and married Dolores Hinojosa on October 27, 1960. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2001. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Perez, Sr. and Manuel Perez, and by two sisters, Mary Blackburn and Jasinta Garcia. Juan was an auto mechanic until his retirement. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Olney.

Survivors include four children: Grace Ligon and husband David of Graham, Lydia Escalona and husband Roy of San Angelo, Mel Perez and wife Emma of Arlington, and Mary Knight and husband Lynn of Wichita Falls; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe Perez and wife Eleanor of Olney; two sisters, Sandy Widner and husband Ralph of Olney and Janie Perez-Keene and husband Kevin of Olney; and many nieces and nephews.

The family expresses a special thanks to the Nurses and Aides at San Angelo Nursing and Rehab.
