Juanita Owens Corley died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with Andy Graham of Southside Baptist Church of Olney officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Juanita was born in Throckmorton County on December 28, 1922 to the late Griffin L. quotDocquot and Lona Moore Hughes Owens. She married Floyd W. quotFatquot Corley on June 23, 1948 in Olney, Texas. Juanita graduated from Throckmorton High School. She attended and graduated from beautician school in Houston and worked as a beauty operator for the next twenty years. Juanita was also employed at Haggar for twenty years and was a lifetime resident of the Olney area. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband on May 16, 1999, a brother Woodrow Owens, and a sister Lena Stowe.

She is survived by two daughters: Mary Lou Carr of Olney, Texas, Glenda Sue Horry and husband Terry of Olney, Texas a sister Elizabeth Abbott of Olney six grandchildren: Jess Carr and wife Laura of Olney, Texas, Christine Blackburn of Jermyn, Texas, Judson Horry and wife Megan of Seabrook, Texas, Scott Horry and wife Cathy of Galveston, Texas, Ramona Routon and husband Rowdy of Olney, Texas, Bobbye Sue Withers and husband Joe of Mary Esther, Florida and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 5:30 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
