Juda Ming, age 79, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Graham Oaks Care Center. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Juda was born on April 22, 1946, in Wellington, Texas, to Harry and Virgina (McPherson) Clay. She married the love of her life, Jerry Edward Ming, in July of 1980 in Vernon, Texas. They shared thirty-four years of marriage before Jerry preceded her in death in 2014.

Juda devoted her life to nursing—a calling she truly loved. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 1968 and went on to earn her Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Master of Science in Nursing degrees. Her nursing career took her to Shamrock, Vernon, and Olney, where she touched countless lives with her compassion and dedication. She served as Head Nurse at Seven Oaks, later overseeing Home Health in Olney, and also worked as Head Nurse at Garden Terrace in Graham. Juda was proud to teach and mentor future nurses at Midwestern State University, a role she cherished deeply.

Even after retirement, Juda’s love of caring for others never faded. She found joy in searching for antique treasures and helping others discover them as well. She also appreciated life’s simple pleasures—especially a good cup of coffee—and treasured time spent with her beloved dog, Naomi, affectionately known as Nay-Nay.

Above all else, Juda deeply loved her family, especially her granddaughter Schelby. She was immensely proud of her and delighted in every moment they shared. Being “Grandma” was one of Juda’s greatest joys, and her love and encouragement were constant and unwavering, especially when Schelby followed in her footsteps and became a nurse as well.

Juda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Edward Ming; and her son, Michael Bechtel.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony “Tony” Ming and wife Melissa of Olney, Texas; her beloved granddaughter, Schelby Ming, and her fiancé Cameron of Eastland, Texas; as well as family, friends, and her care team at Graham Oaks that truely adored her.
