Julian Farmer, age 94, died October 17, 2015 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Clay Belcher of Hermleigh, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow at the Newcastle Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Julian was born on April 5, 1921 in Clyde, Texas to the late Julian Lester Farmer and Clair Elmyra (Jones) Farmer. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during World War II and was honorably discharged as Staff Sergeant. He married Emma Lou Gibbs on August 24, 1947 in Olney, Texas. Julian was a well known tile setter in the area and he was a faithful member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Newcastle.

Julian is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Emma Farmer; one son, Justin Farmer and wife Teresa of Graham, Texas; three daughters: Judy Mitchell and husband Jimmy of Fort Belknap, Texas, Nancy Miller and husband Jim of Alto, New Mexico, Shelia Wilson of Denton, Texas; one brother, Wendell Farmer of Abilene, Texas; three sisters: Mildred Pillans of Abilene, Texas, Nell Laughlin of Weatherford, Texas, Norma Barton of Baird, Texas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the hospice of one's choice.
