IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathy
Schneider
November 13, 1944 – December 25, 2022
On Sunday, December 25, 2022, Kathryn Louise "Kathy" Schneider, a beloved mother and Nana to all, went home to be with the Lord at age 78. She did things the way she had always wished, she entered eternal peace at home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 13, 1944, to the late Clifford Huggins and Bertie and Harold Beekman.
Kathy was a 1963 graduate of Old High School in Wichita Falls, Texas.
On April 6, 1968, in Iowa Park, Texas, Kathy married the love of her life Edwin Kelly Schneider. They were blessed with 40 years of marriage, two children, three grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Kathy worked as an administrative assistant in the health care industry. She worked as a secretary for several years in a doctor's office. She then went into management for the home health care agency at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas until her retirement in 2004.
Nana was always a decorator, from interior design in her home to decorating for each and every holiday. Many of her ideas came from her favorite shows on HGTV and the DIY Network. Kathy was a crafter that enjoyed making flower arrangements and wreaths for those she loved and adored. During the warmer months the only place to find Nana was outside; from tending to her flower beds where she had the most beautiful flowers to picking fresh vegetables from her garden. During the colder months, Nana enjoyed relaxing while watching the Lifetime Movie Channel and catching up on her favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives. Kathy was a busy body, she always had a plan, she knew exactly what she wanted, and how she wanted it done.
Kathy is survived by her children John Schneider and Kelli (Cord) Coyle. Nana's memories will be cherished by her grandchildren Miranda Gilbert, C.J. Schneider, Jordan Schneider, and her bonus grandchildren Marty (Nicole) Coyle and Tanya Coyle. Her memories will live on forever in her great grandchildren Kayleigh Brochin, Jaxon Gilbert, Jaycie Clark, Jenna Clark, Jameson Clark, and Maddox Coyle. She will be deeply missed by her brother-in-law Haskell Nutgrass, her sister-in-law Lois Lunsford, and her extended family which reached far and wide.
Kathy was welcomed home by her husband of 41 years, E.K. Schneider, her parents, a sister Pat Nutgrass, and a niece that she loved as her own JoAnna Robertson.
Friends and Family will gather for a service in honor of Nana at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Chad Edgington, officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Family visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Lunn Funeral Home.
