LaRue Thomas, age 78, died February 26, 2018 at her home in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Restland Cemetery in Olney with Rev. Louis Golden, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

LaRue was born on August 15, 1939 in Artesia, New Mexico to the late Ollie David Marrs and Katherine (Bills) Marrs. She was a retired caregiver for the elderly and was a Baptist. She married Jerry Dean Thomas, Sr. on November 5, 1990 in Olney, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1999.

Survivors include her three sons: Billy Thompson, Danny Thompson and Tony Thompson, all of Olney; two daughters: Anita Hendrix of Olney and LaRue Ann Aaron of Fairfield, Texas; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
