Laura Heath

Laura Heath, age 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Family visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with Josh Hagle, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Laura was born on February 5, 1942, in Pecos, Texas, to the late Frank and Jeanette (Cogdell) Thetford. She met her husband, Gerry Heath, in college, and they married in October of 1962 in Tilden, Texas. They moved to Olney from San Marcos, Texas, in 1976. They spent fifty-four years together before Gerry preceded her in death in 2016. Laura was proud to be a Texan and loved ranch life and the heritage it brought. She liked sewing and doing things with her hands, and she loved traveling and seeing new places. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she loved spending time with her family. Laura was very strong in her faith and never hesitated to share it. In memory of Laura, always remember:

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerry Heath, her brother Frank Thetford, Jr., and her son-in-law Gary Fields.

Laura is survived by her four daughters and three sons-in-law: Kelly Hemphill and husband Johnny of Henrietta, Texas, Kathleen Fields of Olney, Texas, Korene Kubala and husband Kelly Joe, of Everman, Texas, Kendra Delk and husband Brett of Galveston, Texas, and her son and daughter-in-law Jim Heath and wife Lisa of Allen, Texas, her ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, and her brother Bill Thetford of Victoria, Texas.
