Laura "Lu" Lunn

Laura Sue “Lu” Lunn, formerly of Olney, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the Olney Hamilton Hospital at the age of 87. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Lunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home. 

Lu was born July 12, 1939, in Monahans, Texas, to the late Burrell L. and Grace Myrtle Quessenberry Walters. She and Don Lunn were married on January 10, 1958, in Waurika, Oklahoma. Lu was a homemaker. She worked as a secretary to the principals at Olney High School for several years before working at Lunn Furniture and Funeral Home for many years. She attended the Cowboy Church of Young County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her six brothers, Burrell Jr., Brian, Pete, Oscar, Jim, and Buck; and one sister, Helen Grace.

Survivors include her husband Don of Lake Graham, Texas; one daughter, Sunny Blanco and husband Ed of San Antonio, Texas; one son, Luke and wife Jennifer of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Lily Jo Abston and husband Bill of Rockwall, Texas and Linda Dunlap and husband Rodge of Olney; four grandchildren, Ethan Lunn & wife Missy, Hannah Lunsford & husband Holden, Maggie Ochoa & husband Gabriel, and Natalie Blanco; and nine great grandchildren; Judah, Daniel and Lainey Lu, Carter, Landry, Graham, James, Audrey and Davis.
