Lena Mae "Sis" Beasley

Lena Mae "Sis" Beasley, 88, died on Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Andy Graham, pastor of Southside Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

"Sis" was born on April 29, 1925, in Allen Texas, to the late Louie Harrison and Annie L. (Dickerson) York. She became a resident of Olney in 1932. "Sis" was a homemaker and a seamstress, and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She married James L. Beasley on September 14, 1943, in Throckmorton, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2012. "Sis" was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Byron Beasley; three brothers: Raymond York, Floyd "Junior" York, and L.H. "Bodie" York; and one sister, Margie Robertson.

"Sis" is survived by one son: Jimmy "Buzz" Beasley and wife Brenda of Hillsboro, Texas; one daughter: Jackie Young and husband Robert of Benbrook, Texas; four grandchildren: Tai Shelton and husband Jerry of Mesquite, Texas, Ben Beasley and wife Ellen of Huntsville, Texas, Brandon Beasley and wife Rachel of Katy, Texas and Callie Young of Crowley, Texas; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Betty Jean Goodwin of Rockwall, Texas; three brothers: Robert York and wife Billie Jo of Tool, Texas, J.C. York and wife Wilma of Olney, Texas, and Ronnie York and wife Carolyn of Eustace, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home.
