Lessie Lavelle Loftin Coop left a loving earthly family on August 29, 2011 to join her loving family members waiting to welcome her in Heaven. Services will at 10 am on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Richard West of Jean Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Loving Cemetery.

Lessie quotSnookiequot as friends and family called her was born on January 9, 1930 in Jean, Texas to Royal Hobart Loftin and Ora Ellen Simmons Loftin. She had two sisters, Hobart Ellen LoftinHogan married to Bobby Jack Hogan of Jean, Texas and was preceded in death by her other sister, Bonnie Lorraine LoftinFreeze married to Earl Freeze of Olney, Texas. Snookie and Artie Coop were married November 15, 1949 in Jean, Texas. They had three daughters: Carol Chris CoopMartin married to Alfred Martin of Wichita Falls, Joy Lynn CoopRoberson of Wichita Falls, and a third daughter, Crista Lin Coop, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1959. Her grandsons are Jason and Kevin Roberson, both of Wichita Falls, Texas. Snookie had a happy and good spirited personality that will be missed as much as her beautiful smile, but the memories will always be with us.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 67 pm at the funeral home.
