Lew Hooten, age 82, passed away October 16, 2012 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Mike Allen of Olney, Texas officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Olney under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Lew was born on May 28, 1930 in New Carlisle, Indiana to the late John Frances and Oklea Pearl Lane Hooten. He and Genetta Irene Pointer were married on October 9, 1949 in New Carlisle, Indiana. She preceded him in death in 1983. Lew had been a truck driver and then became an Airport manager thus inspiring his love of buying, selling, and flying planes. He was a Methodist. Lew was preceded in death by his parents, and wife.
Lew is survived by his daughter Neva Kanelos of Chicago, Illinois his two sons: Dennis Hooten of Key West, Florida, and Greg Hooten of Elkhart, Indiana six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
