Lewis "Lou" Westphal, age 82, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with Derrell Marion, officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Lou was born on August 11, 1937, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Lewis Alfred Westphal and Anna (Findlay) Westphal. He was a construction estimator until his retirement. He was a Presbyterian by faith. Lou was a member of the Remodelors Council of Greater Columbia and was recognized for his outstanding service. He was also a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia. He moved to Olney in 2009 from Columbia, South Carolina. Lewis was always a hard worker, so he decided he wanted to work part-time, and worked for Olney Carwash, Lunn Funeral Home and Stewart's Food Store.

Lou is survived by three children: David Lewis Westphal, Lori Ann Westphal and Mary Jane Varraza. He is also survived by his close friends Gib Wright, Anita Northrup, and Derrell and Cathy Marion. He was especially thankful for their friendship, kindness and support.
