Obituary
Lila Jones, age 90, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Olney Healthcare Center in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at Elbert Cemetery in Elbert, Texas with Kelly Russell of the First Baptist Church of Olney officiating. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Lila was born August 2, 1920 to the late Ruffus Riley and Clara Bell Damron Roberts. She and William quotBillquot Randolph Cribbs were married in Elbert, Texas on July 18, 1935. He passed away in 1973. Later in the years, Lila met and married Billy Joe Jones on May 29, 1983 in Waurika, Oklahoma. They moved and resided in Olney, until his death in 2002. Lila continued to live in Olney for the remainder of her life. Lila was a bookkeeper and Training supervisor of new employees for the First National Bank of Ft.Worth. She retired after twenty years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Birdwell Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas. Lila was preceded in death by a son, David Jones, her parents, both husbands, three brothers Don, C.B. and J.W. Roberts, a sister Pearl Roberts, and a sisterinlaw Sylvia Roberts.
Survivors include her daughter, Noreta Johnson and husband Jim of Elbert, Texas two sons Donald Randolph Cribbs, Sr. of Olney, Texas and Mark Jones and wife Lynn of Ft. Worth, Texas seven grandchildren: Belinda Ann Cooper and husband Glenn of Ft. Worth, Texas, Major Jimmie C. Johnson II and wife Barbie of Belton, Texas, Donald Randolph Cribbs, Jr. of Olney Texas, Denna Kay Grover and husband Jeff of Azle, Texas, Chase Jones, Shellie Jones and Nathan Jones all of Ft. Worth, Texas five greatgrandchildren: Cye Glenn Cooper Wagner and husband Jon Kyle of Ft. Worth, Texas, Wesley Johnson Cooper of Ft. Worth, Texas, Ian Samuel Johnson of Belton, Texas, Jordan Grover and Molly Grover both of Azle, Texas two sisterinlaws Bobbie Roberts of Weatherford, Texas and Boots Roberts of Tyler, Texas.
