Obituary

Linda Kay Barrier, age 75, died Saturday, December 18, 2021, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Private family memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Linda was born December 7, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Bill Burden and Betty Elizabeth Middleton Popp. She and Edward Thomas Barrier were married June 6, 1987 in Irving, Texas. She moved to Olney in 2005, and then moved to Graham in 2014. She returned to Olney in May 2020. She was a former member of the Young County Cowboy Church. Linda was waitress until her retirement. She was a social butterfly and loved to talk to people. She liked to do arts and crafts and watching TV was her favorite pastime. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Barrier; a daughter, Shari Lee Butts, and her step-father, Charles Popp, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Butts of Olney, Texas; three sisters, Charlene Knowles of Lakeland, Florida, Susanne Nier of Haslet, Texas and Jane Molsbee of Denton, Texas; one brother, Charles Popp, Jr. of Olney, Texas; four grandchildren, Devin Butts of Seattle, Washington, Summer Barnhart of Olney, Texas, Korey Landry of Olney, Texas, and Autumn Geiger of Graham, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Oakley and Raeleigh Guerra of Olney, Texas, Xander Butts of Archer City, Texas, Riley Frakes of Graham, Texas, and Layla Butts; and several nieces and nephews.
