Linda Fay Edwards, age 79, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 in Restland Cemetery with Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church in Olney, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Linda was born on June 15, 1940 in Saint Jo, Texas to Lewis William Edwards and Orla Katherine (King) Edwards. She had worked with the elderly at several nursing homes and for meals on wheels until her retirement. She was a Baptist and loved to share the gospel and tell friends and neighbors about the love of Jesus.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Leland Norvell Wilton, a brother, Lewis Edwards, Jr., and a great-grandson, Evan Troy Keathley.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Terri and Johnny Cruit of Mount Vernon, Texas and Letha and Jason Young of Graham, Texas; a sister, Glenada Strey of Denton, Texas; eight grandchildren: Jaime and Jason Saxon of Mount Vernon, Texas, Jeremy and Ashley Cruit of Mount Vernon, Texas, Jaclyn and Mike Flugel of Mount Vernon, Texas, Brent Keathley of Wichita Falls, Texas, Derek and Debora Keathley of Florida, Christopher Wilton of Wichita Falls, Texas, Elena Wilton of Olney, Texas and Aaron Wilton of Wichita Falls, Texas; and sixteen great-grandchildren: Danielle and Hunter Saxon of Mount Vernon, Texas, Jaydin and Daurian Holmes of Mount Vernon, Texas, Cordell and KaiLynn Flugel of Mount Vernon, Texas, Lyssia and Lanna Keathley of Wichita Falls, Texas, Embry and Elijah Keathley of Florida, Carmen, Joseph and Alexa, and Rebekka, Adyson and Karin of Mount Vernon, Texas, and one great-grandchild on the way.
