Lorene Custer, age 96, died Friday July 8, 2011 in Archer City, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, with Joe Cullen of First Christian Church in Archer City officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Lorene was born May 28, 1915 in Hughes County, Oklahoma to the late John W. quotJackquot and Tennessee quotTinniequot J. Mannon Morgan. She married Clarence Glenn Custer April 7, 1934, in Clearmore, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death August 27, 1977. Lorene was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a homemaker, a member of the Hamilton Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and for eighteen years worked for Horany39s Department store in Olney. She lived in the Olney area since 1947. Lorene is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by two sons Charles G. Custer and wife Jane of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Robert L. Custer and wife Shirley of Tomball, Texas two grandchildren Richard Custer and wife Jeanie of Houston, Texas, and Robert Custer and wife Aubrey of Tomball, Texas three stepgrandchildren Carl Kirby and wife Jeanette of Houston, Texas, Terri Bramson and husband Greg of College Station, Texas, and Patrick Kirby and wife Judy of Dawson, Texas and by ten Great Grandchildren, and one GreatGreat Grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Lunn Funeral Home.
