Lou Ann (Abbott) Moody Hyles, age 87, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at Graham Oaks Care Center in Graham, Texas. The memorial service will be held Saturday, September 7, at 1:00 pm at 157 Lynwood Drive in Graham, Texas. This is the shop address for Bill Moody Race Cars. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Lou Ann was born on Monday, August 24, 1936, in Olney, Texas to the late Oscar and Lorene (Fleming) Abbott. She began work in the grocery business in 1970 at Piggly Wiggly in Olney. Lou Ann had lived in Rotan and Bronte before that time. She moved to Graham in 1973 when she started her 20 years with Winn-Dixie. Lou Ann married Jimmy Don Hyles in Oklahoma on Wednesday, October 12, 1977. She had many hobbies, including sewing, watching old movies while cuddling with her dog Mollie, and traveling to New Mexico.
Lou Ann is survived by her children: Sandra Joyce and Bill Moody & wife Debbie, both of Graham, Texas; her grandchildren: Justin Blair of San Angelo, Texas, Brandon Blair of Bowie, Texas, Leia Madden & Husband Kyle of Norman, Oklahoma, Lindsay Kubicsek & husband David of Aledo, Texas, Kelsey Jackson & husband Brent of Fort Worth, Texas, Clayton Moody of Graham, Texas, Lisa Olson & husband Daymon of Rhome, Texas, Randall Lainer & wife Ann of York, Pennsylvania; and her great-grandchildren: Ashton Maness, Madisyn Hunter, Gage Hunter, Quentin Blair, Navea Blair, Emerson Kubicsek, Reid Kubicsek, Kellen Kubicsek, Wren Jackson, Emberly Moody, and Olivia Moody.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar & Lorene Abbott; her husband, Jimmy Hyles; her daughter, Sharon Brunson; her sister, Billie Jean Howe; and her son-in-law, Stephen Joyce.
