Luella Terry, age 98, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. The memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney, Texas, with Douglas Kabell, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church of Graham, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.

Luella was born on October 6, 1925, in Olney, Texas to the late Edwin Otto and Hulda (Kunkel) Deitrich. Luella was a graduate of Olney High School. She worked at Perkins Timberlake before marrying Lewis Donald Terry on May 18, 1950. She was a homemaker for many years before Lewis' passing on October 13, 1994. Luella was a Charter Member of the Olney Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary. She was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church of Graham and held many different Lutheran Women's Group offices. She taught Bible Classes and Vacation Bible School. Luella won numerous prizes for her needlework at the State Fair of Texas. She most recently was in charge of leading bingo at the nursing home.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lewis Donald Terry, and two sisters, Leola Roberts and Marlene Warfield.

Luella is survived by her three daughters and one son-in-law: Donna Fischer of Olney, Texas, Diann and Richard Covington of Athens, Texas, and Deeon Laszczak of Weatherford, Texas; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
