Lynda Faye Shook Deaver, age 67, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022, at the Markley Community Center in Markley, Texas, with Gary Elrod, pastor of Faith Center in Graham, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow at the Markley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Lynda was born on August 26, 1954, in Graham, Texas to the late Faughn Ellis Shook and Hazel Ruddell (Hawkins) Shook. She was a caregiver for many years. She married Dewey Deaver on January 19, 1988, in Graham. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2022. She was a lifetime resident of Young County and a member of Faith Center Assembly of God in Graham. Lynda moved from Graham to Jean in 1991 where she could enjoy the outdoors and take care of her beloved horses and dogs. She loved to sing and went all out to decorate for Christmas. She was an excellent cook and was known for her delicious fried chicken and potato salad. Lynda loved her family and supported her children and grandchildren in all of their activities, and always took care of everybody around her.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a half-brother, Burl Shook.

Lynda is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Belynda and Ryan Holt of Olney and Faughnda and Wayne Curnutte of Olney; a step-daughter, Robbie Deaver of Graham; a step-son, Todd Deaver of San Antonio; her sister and brother-in-law, Faughnda and Ronnie Rawdon of North Richland Hills; her brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Marcia Shook of Graham; several nieces and nephews; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
