Lyndon Louis Holtzclaw, Jr., age 66, died Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Olney, Texas. Remembrance services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Olney with David Carpenter, pastor, officiating. Inurnment services will be held at a later date in the Silver Creek Cemetery of Springtown, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
Mr. Holtzclaw was born on December 9, 1946 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Lyndon Louis and Rosalie May (Clevedon) Holtzclaw, Sr. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and worked in sales and shipping with Clark Equipment Company, and managed a Texaco service station in Ft. Worth. He moved to Olney in 1978. Lyndon married Debora Crain on May 15, 1983 in Olney, Texas. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Olney. He was preceded in death by his father, and one grandson Bradin Peevey.
He is survived by his mother Rosalie Lewis of California; one son: Whitt Murphy and wife Christi of Olney, Texas; two daughters: Kim Childers and husband Christopher of Olney, and Amy Holtzclaw; one sister: Lorene Renn of California; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
