Manuela Portillo, age 81, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Manuela was born on April 18, 1936 in Ballinger, Texas to the late Victor and Vivian (Avera) Esparza. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. Manuela was a resident of Olney for most of her life.

Survivors include her four daughters: Helen Rodriguez of Olney, Estella Torresillas and husband Jose of Olney, Vivian Martinez of Wichita Falls and Roseann Segoviano and husband Jose of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sons: Lupe Sanchez and wife Josie, Pete Sanchez, and Joe Esparza all of Olney; two sisters: Basilia Castro of Graham and Anita Camacho of Abilene; one step-sister, Rosa Ramirez of Olney; three brothers: Joe Esparza of Olney, Henry Esparza of Olney and Johnny Victor Esparza of Wichita Falls; nineteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
