Marguerite Buerger Koester, age 92, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2011, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney, Texas with Rev. Sean Reeves officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Marguerite Joshephine was born on March 23, 1919 in Mesquite, Texas to the late Robert and Lily Lutonsky Buerger. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1937. She and Herbert Koester were married on November 30, 1943 in Wichita Falls, Texas and moved to Olney, Texas that same year. Marguerite was a member of the Lutheran Women39s Missionary League, and taught Sunday School for many years. Marguerite loved her family immensely. She was preceded in death by a son Glen Ray Koester in 1955, and a brother Wilbert Buerger in 1982.

Survivors include her husband Herbert Koester of Olney, Texas two sons: Milton Koester and wife Eva of Olney, Texas, Daniel Koester and wife Jean of Winfield, Alabama two daughters: Connie Koester of Olney, Texas, Brenda Roberts and husband Paul of Archer City, Texas four grandchildren: Allan Koester and wife Misty of Winfield, Alabama, Kyra McCracken and husband Josh of McKinney, Texas, Ernest Koester and wife Karrie of Grapevine, Texas, and Becky Koester of Winfield, Alabama three great grandchildren: Kalli Koester, Emma Koester, and Spencer Koester also Gail Swaim her special friend and caregiver.
